*sigh*
I meant to update. I really did. But Disney World is so crazy...and I was so tired...that...well, things didn't go quite as well as I had planned when it came from the blog-writing-front.
So yeah.
Now I'm going to work harder on blogging. Because I like blogging. And I really ought to keep up with it.
I'm going to do a big revamp of the blog layout too. It's time for a change.
In the meantime, here's what I've been up too:
-I got seasonal status at Disney World!
-Patrick came with the rest of my family to pick me up from Orlando, and I had a deliriously happy time dragging him around the parks.
-On a side note, P has a job! He's working at Target full time in the electronics department. He lurves it, and he gets good hours. So yay!
-We drove home last Sunday. Thirteen hours. In the minivan. Whole family. Yeah. It was great.
-I arrived home...to discover a car! I am now the proud and pleased owner of a 2006 PT Cruiser. The color is called "cool vanilla." I named it the Mach 5, even though El Padre calls it the Mach 2 1/2.
-I've lost around twelve pounds. Well, somewhere between ten and fifteen. I feel like I look a lot thinner.
-I'm all set for my very last semester of school. I'm really excited about graduating. Like seriously. Ready to get out of here.
-I started rehearsal for Beau Jest. It's marvelous. Simply marvelous. I'm having a ball already!
So yeah. Hopefully this semester will go well.

Why the past few days have been awesome, and why I shall explode before two weeks are out
Wednesday
-I FINALLY got to hang out with Kat, Emma, and Rose. Seriously. Hasn't happened in forever.
Thursday
-P took me on a picnic!
-P took me out for ice cream
-P took me shopping!!
-While shopping I got new sandals (with 3" heels!), new flipflops, a new white dress, new lip gloss, and new skivvies! Seriously, hit up Aerie. It's a good time. (Was this too much information? Sorry...)
-I got so excited about my new stuff that I ran to Kat's room to show her...we ended up just chilling out together for a couple of hours. She commented that it was just like old times.
Friday
-Did pretty much nothing. Then I cleaned for a while.
Saturday
-World Lit I exam. It was actually much easier than I thought it would be. Hallelujah!
-I got two bags of sour gummie bears because the cashier girl in the school food court wasn't trying to gyp me like everybody else.
-I got free Panera. Including a cinnamon crunch bagel and some kind of chocolate praline cake.
-Mike the Almighty Director played my demo reel in Voice and Diction class as an example of a good one. Also, I have A's on all of my assignments for that class.
-I found out that not only am I presenting the underclassmen awards at the theater banquet, I'm making them. I immediately texted Kat that THERE WAZ A CRAFTING EMERGENCY.
-I called my mom to tell her that I would have to miss Lindsay's senior banquet because it's the same time as the theater banquet, and we ended up chatting for an hour. Let me tell you, that's not something that I ever thought would happen when I was a kid.
-Kat (after finishing an exam) saved my life and took me to Michaels, where I bought crafting supplies to make awards.
-Because of the humidity, the paint won't dry, so I resorted to sewing my dress and stopping to add a new coat of paint every two hours.
-My machine needle broke. I went to bed.
RIGHT NOW!
-I am sitting at work, wishing I was working on projects that need to be finished. I don't think I can make it to church...eighteen or so awards need to be completed!! And my dress too!
-I have to finish the awards.
-I have to finish my dress.
-Lindsay's last chorus performance is at 3:30.
-The banquet is at 6pm.
TOMORROW
-I have to write six essays for my History of Theater exam.
-I have to work on the Death of a Salesman protocol (which is going to kill me).
-I have to pack.
TUESDAY
-Marriage and the Christian Home exam.
-Packing.
-DOAS protocol.
WEDNESDAY
-Script Analysis final meeting
-Finish packing.
THURSDAY
-Physics exam (at $*&#@ 8am!!!!)
-Move most of the way home
-Unpack.
FRIDAY
-Finish moving out
-Start packing for Disney
SATURDAY
-Star Trek and possibly Ren Fest...this is most likely the last big friend outing I'll have before I leave!
SUNDAY
-Um...something is happening. I just can't remember what it is. It's definitely my last Sunday before I leave for Disney.
OTHER THINGS TO DO IN THE WEEK BEFORE I LEAVE:
-Go to two different bridal shops to look for my gown and the girls' dresses.
-Get my license.
-Get my hair cut and redye it.
-Go to two doctor appointments.
-Spend as much time with P as possible.
-Deal with my dad's side of the family coming in for Lindsay's graduation.
-Go to Lindsay's graduation and get mentally prepared for her 18th birthday.
-And, oh yeah, move to Orlando for the Disney College Program.
Yeah. So that's why my updates are few and far between, and probably will be until I'm settled in Orlando. I'm glad I'm doing it and I'm grateful to get in, but seriously. I am going to die from exhaustion. "Caitlin was near death, but the doctor was able to help." (That's an Oregon Trail joke.) So did I miss anything?
Oh, yeah.
I AM GENERAL CARWRIGHT IN GUYS AND DOLLS AND MIRIAM IN BEAU JEST!!! TWO PARTS!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am thrilled to little bits and pieces. Sure, it's not Adelaide, but what am I going to do? Throw hissy fits because I didn't get the exact part I wanted? I went a whole year without being in a mainstage production. Now I'm in three in one semester (I'm also still playing Missy in the pig show). It's going to be awesome. I'll blog more about that later, but for right now, yeah.
Now it's time to paint some spoons.

The first week back
The first week of my last spring semester EVER is just about over. It's so weird to think that this time next year I'll be out of school and finishing up wedding plans. I can't wait, and at the same time I really want to stick around in the theater department. Maybe I can still be in spring shows since they hold auditions in December.
We officially have recast the role of Josie!..but now her name is Josh. The guy playing the youngest kid is absolutely fantastic. He was in Joseph last semester, and he always had the best facial expressions. He came for rehearsal last night, and it was EPICLY AWESOME.
We had the pirates come in for the first time last night, and it was pretty fantastic. Once the blocking is fine-tuned, it's going to look really great. My only real concern is that one girl is playing a guy and she'd rather be a girl, and...well, the other is Miss Divalicious. I think MD was expecting a lot more stage time, and the fact that she never talks and has to do all of her acting in tandem with her onstage partner in crime is not pleasing her. But it'll all work out. Even if she's a diva, she is a hard worker.
My baby sister is playing Ernestina in Hello Dolly!. I couldn't remember which character that was, so I looked it up...and found this:
"Brittany Curran is Ernestina Money, the crude uncultured slut who escorts Horace to dinner at the upperclass "Harmonia Gardens" and does the hootchie kootchie on the chair at the dinner table."
Oh, Lindz is going to be EPIC. Considering that the two of us are generally polite, cultured, unslutty nice girls, it's going to be hilarious.
It is so freezing in this lobby!! People keep leaving the door open, and even though I have a heater under my desk, my fingers are so cold I can barely type!!
...maybe that's a sign that I should do something else. Like homework...that's due in two hours...

The second-to-last semester begins!
Thank God for the heater under my desk. Because seriously, it's 7:12 am, and it's dang cold in here!
First two days of classes are over. How's it going down? Like this.
Script Analysis (MWF at 10)
Also known as Dramaturgy. And in Erin-language, Scriptology. Basically, we're going to read a bunch of scripts. And then we're going to analyze them. Fabulous.
World Lit I (MWF at 11)
In order to get my English minor, I just need to take two more English classes: World Lits I and II. So yeah. That's why I'm taking this class. I've had the professor before (for Modern Drama) and we're doing a lot of Greek theater, so I feel pretty prepared.
Marriage and the Christian Home (MWF at 12)
This is going to be a fun class. It's my Bible credit, but we're talking about marriage stuff! Yay! I'm pretty dang excited.
Fundamentals of Physics (TR at 8)
I just had to put off one of my GenEd courses. And it just had to be this one. On the upside, I have one of the best professors ever. P and Kat both took physics from him and said he was fabulous. Plus, P is a physics major, and he said he'll tutor me. My goal is to get my first ever A in a science class on my report card.
...or at least my first B.
...I am SO not a science person.
History of Theater I (TR at 9:25)
I keep forgetting I even have this class. Basically, we're reading (and watching) plays from the earliest Greek theater up to Shakespeare. Technically, I'm supposed to take History of Theater II, but I'm graduating in December so they're pulling some strings. Awesome.
Voice and Diction (TR at 1:20)
This is definitely the BEST CLASS EVER!!!!!! Like seriously, best ever. It's a performance-based class focused on vocal performance. We get to work on dialects, and specialize in one (although I want to do like four). And then...
...WE'RE MAKING A DEMO!!!!!!!!
I was going to ask my parents to pay money for me to record a demo with Joe, but if I can do one for free in class, I'm SO TAKING IT!!
I've been excited about theater classes before, but this is definitely the best one ever!! We're doing voiceacting!! I feel like I'm finally getting a chance to show what I can do. I'm probably gearing myself up for some kind of spectacular failure, but right now I'm so thrilled and so happy I don't even care!
Physics Lab (T at 2:45)
Aaaaaand...this is where my fabulous class schedule loses its fabulosity. It's bad enough that the lab goes form 2:45 to 5:15. It's downright hellish when the lab instructor lectures from 2:45 to 4:35. And it's not even a useful lecture. He lectures about how to round up numbers. And then he tells us "Oh, you'll have to hurry to finish this lab." It was his fault!
So yeah. That is the one downside. Thank goodness it's only once a week.
Other than lab, I'm happy with how the semester looks. I'm taking 18 hours, plus I'm directing Enchanted Attic and I have private voice lessons. They should be announcing the season for next year pretty soon, and I am hell-bent on getting into the musical. If I'm just an ensemble member, I will be the happiest girl on the planet.
Speaking of ensemble members, my sister has stepped up from tech and ensembling to a speaking part in her senior year musical. They're doing Hello Dolly and she's just thrilled. So yay! Congrats to Lindz!
Now I have to go read Oedipus Rex. Yaaaaay....aw.

No place like home...
I am HOME!!! Hurrah!!
I moved back home for Christmas break on Wednesday night...Thursday P came over for a while...Friday was the big church youth group party (I am one of the middle school lifeguards, which basically means I'm a super-hands-on Sunday School teacher). So today is the first time I went online.
But yeah. It's fabulous to be at home. My own shower...my cozy bedroom...a real kitchen...it's fantastic.
Thank you so much for all the comments this week!! I feel so special being a Saucy blogger. ^_^ Hopefully I'll have time soon to check out all of your blogs and return the kind comments.
I got my grades back!
Lifetime Fitness: D
First Aid and Emergency Care: D
Advanced Acting: C
Gospel of Mark for Women: B
Shakespeare's Tragedies: B (that was a hard class!!)
Beginning Directing: A
Costuming Practicum: A
Private Voice: A
So yeah. I could have done better, but the beginning of the semester was really difficult. But I picked up the pace at the end and everything turned out all right. And now I don't have to think about anything school related until January. YAY!
One of my BFFs, Kat (who is also my maid of honor) is hangin' out today, and we're going to meet Emma (who's also a bridesmaid) for sushi and watching Friends DVDs. And probably Rent. If you haven't seen that, you should. It's a terrific show, and it also singlehandedly revived the American musical in the early 90s. If you're into musical theater, it's a big part of the genre's history.
Aaaaand the theater lesson is over. *ahem*
I need to get P's Christmas present. Seriously. It's five days for Christmas, and I've got nothing. Yikes...five days?! Doesn't seem like it. Not at all.
But yeah. I think this will be a lovely Christmas break.

The espresso is a bit much...
Whew. I knew my sweets-and-caffeine tolerance had dropped, but this astonishing! I've sipped maybe a fourth of my tall espresso truffle from Starbucks, and I'm done. I can't take anymore of the buzz!
I signed up for Twitter because all of the cool kids are doing it. I'm just not going with the cell phone option because really...really, I don't want to be barraged with Twitter updates at 3:00 am from freshmen who stay up watching Adult Swim at all hours. *coughnickcough*
I don't have to do anything till 5:00 pm today when I have to go to the Disney College Program offer party and talk to a bunch of kids headed off to work in the parks like I did almost three years ago. Kind of sad, really. I miss it. Then I have the first Enchanted Attic rehearsal at 6:00, which will be fun. I can't wait to see how the cast works together, chemistry-wise. Honestly, that's one of the big things I look for when I cast- how an actor works with the other actors.
I'm going to do a lot of sewing during all of the downtime between my exams, and there's going to be a lot of it. Here's what my class lineup looks like:
Gospel of Mark for Women: Exam on Saturday at 8 (or 9. I'm not sure about it, so I'm showing up at 8. But ew, Saturday!)
Shakespeare's Tragedies: Exam next Wednesday at 8
Advanced Acting: performing a scene from "My Cup Ranneth Over" tomorrow (I play Yucca) and a scene from "Down the Road" (I play Iris) either tomorrow or...um, maybe Tuesday. I have to check.
Lifetime Fitness: already finished that class!
First Aid and Emergency Care: already finished!
Costuming Practicum: my exam was hell week and the aftermath for Joseph, so I'm covered.
Beginning Directing: my exam was Shorts!, so I'm all done!
So yeah. Plenty of downtime for sewing.
...and studying, I suppose.
