Well, 2009 is over. And it was...eventful. Extremely eventful.
What did you do in 2009 that you've never done before?
-Directed an entire show
-Turned 22
-Celebrated three years together, two years of engagement, and one year till the wedding
-Dragged Patrick around Disney World!
-Had four big onstage roles
Did you keep your New Year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Well, let's see. Last year I vowed to...
-Write a page in my second novel every day. HA! That didn't happen. But I'm at least on chapter seven, so that's progress.
-Practice voice more often. Eh, hit or miss. I definitely practice more than I used to.
-Exercise more regularly. Definitely more, but still not consistent.
-Watch less television. LAWLZ. I think I watched more TV this year than I did the year before...but that's mostly because I have to have something on when I'm sewing or writing.
As for this year's resolutions...yeah, they're happening.
Did anyone close to you give birth?
Nope. I have a feeling I'm going to be the first person in my circle of friends to have a baby...so...wait a few years...and there will probably be a little Trevathan around.
Did anyone close to you die?
My grandfather passed away in September from pancreatic cancer.
What countries did you spend time in this year?
Just this one!
What would you like to have in 2010 that you lacked in 2009?
A husband, a decent apartment, and a job. At least one of those is taken care of...
What dates from 2009 will remain etched on your memory, and why?
September 28th. See three questions higher.
What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Probably playing Miriam Goldman in Beau Jest. I worked so hard for that show, and it paid off in a major way. And I found out that the show was cast around me, so that was nice for my poor little bruised ego (see the majority of theater-related blog entries from 2008 and early 2009.)
What was your biggest failure?
Not doing as well in my classes as I would have liked.
Did you suffer any serious illness or injury?
No, thank goodness. I did my time in 2007-2008. Shingles in the fall, mono in the spring. It was terrible.
What was the best thing you bought?
My new laptop, Spock. And my car, the Mach 5.
Where did most of your money go?
Well, I made very little money in the spring, made a lot of money in the summer, and then spent it slowly in the fall. So basically...living expenses. That sucks.
Compared to last year, are you...
...happier or sadder?
Happier. Mostly due to the fact that I finally regained the confidence that I lost throughout 2007-2008.
...thinner or fatter?
I'm fatter than I was in the summer, but thinner than I was this time last year. So...yay?
...richer or poorer?
About the same.
What did you get really excited about?
Working at Disney again!
What do you wish you'd done more of?
I wish I had more time to hang out with friends, but I was working in the Happiest Place on Earth and doing SEVEN shows. So...now that I have too much free time on my hands, I'm glad things worked out the way they did.
Did you fall in love in 2009?
I fell in love four years ago, but I will say that Patrick and I are more than "in" love. We love each other.
(and everyone just threw up a little bit. At least I'm not proclaiming "Welcome to 2010, the year of our wedding! EVERYONE MUST CELEBRATE WITH US BECAUSE YOU WILL NEVER BE AS ROMANTIC AS WE ARE, SO YOU BETTER BE ENJOYING THIS VICARIOUSLY.")
How many one-night stands?
Um...doesn't this question sort of negate the previous one? But in any case, the answer is no.
Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Not that I can think of. I don't really have a hit list or anything.
What was the best book you read?
Oh, wow. Um...I read my favorite book, Little Women, four times this year. Does that count? Honestly, though, I can't think of a new book I read that I really, really adored.
What did you get and not get?
Nothing, really. I'm quite satisfied.
What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 22 this year. I spent my birthday in the theater- we had a matinee and an evening performance of Enchanted Attic.
What one thing could have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Getting married in 2009 instead of 2010. But we're down to 70 days, and I can do that.
Who do you miss?
My Disney family!
Who was the best new person you met?
My Disney apartment mates- Shana, Sam, and Carissa. And Adriana totally counts too. Love them!
Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2009?
Sometimes it's exhausting to work your ass off, but it pays off in the end.
What sums up this year in a quote?
"Isn't that niiiiice?" (the Beau Jest catchphrase)
And to close...my 2010 resolutions!
-Get married.
-Lose weight.
-Actually try to get Beatrice published.
-Finish ALL my half-finished sewing projects.
Happy New Year, everybody!

Awards and juff
(Juff is a combination of "junk" and "stuff, btw.)
So Lora gave me two awards like two weeks ago...and I never got around to putting them up! So here they are:
You're supposed to list seven random facts...I hope this is random enough!!!
1) I'm 22, but I get mistaken for seventeen, sixteen, and fourteen on a regular basis. The funny thing is...my almost-eighteen-year-old sister gets mistaken for someone in her twenties!
2) I have been involved in thirty different theater productions, starting when I was three years old.
3) Because of my wrist problems, I rarely handwrite anything, and when I do, I have to use a specific brand of pen.
4) I am weirdly gifted at playing Yu-Gi-Oh!. Yeah, pathetic, right? But I'm naturally gifted. Captain Marvel got so excited that he built me a deck comprised of cute cards and fire cards. We call it the "so cute it burns" deck.
5) I took horseback riding lessons in second and third grade, because I went through that horse-crazy stage and wanted to be a jockey, because I heard that small people made the best ones. Then I got tired of riding in circles and moved on to my puppy-crazy stage.
6) I collect movie Barbies. I have Belle from Beauty and the Beast on Broadway, Tinker Bell, Jessie from Toy Story 2, Giselle from Enchanted, and Anastasia, amongst others. I also collect movie action figures. Yeah, neeeeeerd.
7) I mimic anything and everything. Seriously. If you say something funny with an unusual inflection, I'll mimic it right back to you and mentally file it away in case I need it for a future VA gig.
And this award goes to...the first seven people to comment on this entry!!!
And then here's the other award:
Now I have to confess five things I'm addicted to. Oh, dear...
1) Pepsi. I hated Pepsi until Enchanted Attic. Then I started draining 44oz cups of the stuff during rehearsals.
2) Anything retro. If it's retro, I'm going to try to buy it.
3) Fabric. I'm not allowed to go into fabric stores unattended now...
4) Disney. 'Nuff said.
...and lastly:
5) Theater. If I wasn't addicted to it, I wouldn't do it.
And this one (I'm going to copy you, Lora!) will go to the NINE people who follow me!! Yeah!!
...but P, if you don't want to put up a "my blog is FABULOUS" sticker, you don't have to. Maybe I'll make you a manly version. It will involve steak and fire, and instead of "fabulous," I'll just type "insert manly grunting here."

What starts with 'b'?
I was tagged by Lora over at Take Me the Way I Am to do this so...here are ten things I love that start with the letter B!!
(this is just like Sesame Street!)
#1: Baking: I absolutely LOVE baking. I started with biscuits at the tender age of eight, and then moved onto cookies, then cakes, then pies. Mm, pies.
#2: Books: That was my first word. Not even kidding. I was sitting in my crib when my mom came in and I pointed to my bookshelf and said "books!". She handed me one, and then I said "thanks!". Polite and well-read at an early age. But seriously, love me some books. I currently have shelves that wrap around my room that are nearly full of books.
#3: Bridal...ness: I made up a word. I've had two years to revel in being a bride-to-be, and I've got one more to go. I really enjoy all the white, fluffy goodness.
#4: Bubble baths: Ooh, I got four b's out of that one! But yes, nothing is nicer than a bubble bath. :)
#5: Babies: Oh, how I love babies. P and I want five of them. :)
#6: Brown...as in Jason Robert: All right, so I cheated a little bit, but he is one of my all time favorite Broadway composers. He did Parade, Last Five Years, Songs for a New World...and he plays the piano.
#7: Braids: I love braiding my hair, even if it doesn't necessarily suit me. Actually, my hair's braided right now. And I am LOVING IT.
#8: Babbling: It's true. Whether I'm talking or writing, I love it when words are just comin' out. :)
#9: Bows: Not even kidding. I love bows. Any kind of frippery, actually.
(also, who else loves the word "frippery"?)
And finally:
#10: Blogging: What would I be like without a fun place to babble?
All right...if your name begins with C, K, A, or D, I wanna see you do this!! And your letter is...L!

25 Things...because there's nothing else to do...
I'm so anxious about Disney I can't write anything interested. I provide, instead, an internet meme.
1) While I've always enjoyed soda (especially Sprite, Dr. Pepper, and Jones Green Apple), it's never been that much of a vice for me. But over the past two months I got addicted to Pepsi, and now it's so hard to say no...
2) I didn't date in high school and was attracted to very few boys. Ergo, my high school theater teacher thought I was a lesbian.
3) However, once I did start dating, I was done. P was my first and last boyfriend (as well as my first and last first kiss).
4) When I was little, I desperately wanted freckles. I have very few, but occasionally I develop new ones. I have five tiny freckles in a straight line from the corner of my left eye, and it looks kind of cool.
5) I tend to get obsessive over things. The first truly memorable one was my obsession over the movie Anastasia (1997). Man, I loved that thing. I even have the music box.
6) I started writing fanfiction as a middle-schooler. I ended up getting really popular online, so now I have 200+ people who have me marked as a favorite author...even though I don't write often anymore.
7) I'm super-good at organizing things...I just can never manage to keep everything organized...
8) I hate talking on the phone. Hate it, hate it, hate it. Even if I know you and love you, sometimes I won't answer the phone...I'll sit there and listen to it ring, listen to the voicemail you leave, and text you back.
9) I love flowers. Love, love, love. Especially lilies of the valley and yellow roses. I've always wanted a garden.
10) I first realized I wanted to be a voice actor when I was about seven or eight years old and started listening to the Focus on the Family radio show Adventures in Odyssey.
11) I'm easily manipulated and intimidated by people, especially if they're older than I am.
12) I know way too much about animation, especially if it's Disney. I'm a walking trivia guide, man!
13) I can navigate around every Walt Disney World park (except Animal Kingdom) with my eyes closed. And I can tell you the best places to find characters. And I know when to get onto which rides.
14) I don't draw or play the piano anymore because of my wrists. I'm also not allowed to write with normal writing utensils. That's why I carry my faithful laptop Sokka around.
15) I name inanimate objects. It gives you something to call it when things go wrong.
16) While cosplay and anime cons wereruined for me, I still wish I could afford to make some completely amazing cosplays. And then sit around at home in them. Or make Youtube videos. Either one.
17) Speaking of cosplays, it is my dream to the Ultimate Toph Bei Fong Cosplayer. Because I am a nerd. But seriously, there's finally a fun character I could pull off.
18) I have always always always wanted a Yorkshire terrier. I shall name him Speed Racer and carry him in the basket of my retro Barbie-pink Schwinn bicycle. (I always said I would name him Telligrue...but I think Telligrue will be a middle name. Because COME ON! This:
named Speed Racer?! How much better can that get?!
19) I can recite the first chapter of C.S. Lewis's The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, as well as various and sundry other passages of books.
20) My dream in life is to be an action figure. Well, to voice a character that is made into an action figure and sold at Target and various comic conventions.
21) I wish I could still draw.
22) The only things I've ever won were a Trevecca visor from speech meet and tickets to a Gwen Stefani concert. Which I did not go to.
23) I used to play Oregon Trail (the original one) like a fiend. That, and American Girl Premiere. That's about as far as I got on the video game front.
24) I'm usually writing something story-related, no matter what I'm doing. Even when I"m far from my lappie, I'm scripting scenes and characters in my head.
And the last one! Finally!
25) I always wanted to have lots and lots of siblings. Or at least a brother. But nope, just a sister.
Hope this was entertaining!
